Shinichi and Kazuko Shiojima are long-time Hakuba locals and key figures in the valley’s hospitality history. They began their hotel journey in 1968 with Lodge La Neige in Tsugaike, later moving to Wadano, where they opened the La Neige Hotel’s west wing in 1983 and east wing in 1990.
The Shiojimas have been in the hotel business for over 55 years, more than 40 of those at their Hakuba Hotel Resort La Neige location.
